Research

Microbiological research at Microbac

Microbac does microbiological research across different markets and applications: for its own products and on behalf of organisations with a microbiological question.

Two kinds of research

Our own research and research on commission

Our own research

Our own research builds knowledge and improves existing products, under our own brands and for others. New insights are a reason to look at earlier choices again. Not every study confirms what we expected; that, too, produces knowledge.

Research on commission

You can start with a concrete question or with a problem that is not yet clear. Having your own brand or planning a market launch is not a condition. Together we first make the question clear and decide what a sensible next step is.

Your research question

What helps to describe your question

We discuss this together; you do not need to know everything. We tailor the approach to each question.

  • What do you want to know?

A concrete question, or a problem you cannot yet pin down.

  • What is already known?

Earlier experience, observations or data about the product or situation.

  • What is it for?

The intended application and the conditions in which it takes place.

  • What will you do with the answer?

For example support a decision, test an idea or decide on a next step.

Findings

What research can deliver

Research does not always give a clear-cut answer. That is why we distinguish three things.

  • What has become clear

    Findings we can substantiate.

  • What remains uncertain

Questions that cannot yet be answered with the available information.

  • Which next step fits

Additional knowledge, a substantiated follow-up question or product development; a product is not a required outcome.

Markets

Microbiological questions across different markets

Microbiological questions differ by application. Below you will find our application areas.

How we select microorganisms and check quality is described under Capabilities.Want a product developed? See Product development.

Next step

Describe your question

Tell us what you want to know and what is already known. Then we will look together at a logical first step.
